Broadway Bound- UpBeat!
Let’s SING and DANCE! UP-Beat is a fantastic way for kids to explore musical theatre! Young actors in this program will receive basic vocal training along with traditional musical theatre dance training as we sing and dance to some of musical theatre’s most extraordinary songs written for young voices!
Program Objectives
- Simple note recognition, rhythms, and vocal expressiveness
- Basic musical theatre vocabulary and pedagogy
- Confidence and creativity in dance choreography and expression

Registration: July 20 – until full
Dates: Sept. 14 – Nov. 16
Performance: November 16
Days: Mondays
Times/Divisions:
5:00 pm – 5:30 pm (5-7 yrs old)
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm (8-11 yrs old)
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm (12-16 yrs old)
Fees:
5-7 yrs old- $55
8-11 yrs old- $85
12-16 yrs old- $95
*$13 for T-shirt (If needed)

Meet Your Instructors!
Jessica Higginbotham has been directing youth theatre in communities and schools for over 25 years. She has a degree from BYU in theatre education, writes plays for young actors, and loves to tap dance!
Melani Allred is a talented theatre arts educator with a degree in Theatre Education from BYU. She has multiple performance, design, and dance hours on her resume and loves clogging.
Becky Eck knows the power of music and the joy that comes from performing. She received her music minor from BYU, is an experienced music/dance/theatre performer, and is a seasoned preschool/elementary educator.
